130 MPH Motorcycle Chase in Kandiyohi Co

A motorcyclist was eventually arrested after initially speeding past a Kandiyohi County Deputy southwest of Spicer in excess of 130 miles an hour early Sunday morning.

At just before 2:30am, the deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle driver in the area of Highway 23 and County Road 9 NE, but the driver continued to speed in an effort to evade the officer. The driver continued south until exiting onto Lakeland Drive in Willmar.

The deputy stopped the pursuit due to the motorcycle driver’s recklessness however, the driver and motorcycle were located a short time later behind a Willmar business in the 1300 Block of Litchfield Avenue SE.

The driver was placed under arrest for Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle, reckless driving, underage drinking and driving, and speed.
