17-YEAR-OLD HURT IN CRASH NEAR SPRINGFIELD
A 17-year-old boy was hurt in a collision between a Chevy pickup and a semi Wednesday morning at 6:25 am on Highway 14 at 160th Street in Burnstown Township near Springfield. Authorities say the 17-year-old was taken to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center with unknown injuries. The semi was driven by 45-year-old Carlos Joel Mendez Padilla of St. Paul. He wasn’t hurt. Springfield and Sleepy Eye Police Departments, Springfield EMS and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
