Fatal Benton Co Crash

A Waite Park man died in a one-vehicle crash in Benton County Friday morning.

The State Patrol says 24-year-old Jhon Linarez died at the scene.

Linarez was traveling northbound on Highway 23 when he lost control of the vehicle and it went off the road and crashed into a utility box and business sign near 35th Avenue NE just after 6am.

The Patrol says Linarez was not wearing a seat belt.
