Willmar Protest Outside Fischbach’s Office

A group of about 100 people gathered Wednesday afternoon in front of the Willmar office of U.S. Representative Michelle Fischbach to protest what they called billionaire Elon Musk’s takeover of the federal government and the 7th Congressional District representative’s silence about it.

The group was organized by Indivisible Kandiyohi, but a contingent also came from the Indivisible Morris chapter.

The group expressed opposition to abruptly closing federal agencies, such as USAID, which it said will hurt local farmers who were relying on the overseas shipments of agricultural products.
