Extreme Drought Covers Cass County and Much of Clay County

Extreme drought now covers all of Cass County, North Dakota, according to the latest federal drought report.

Across the Red River, all of Clay County, Minnesota, is experiencing some level of drought. More than 54 percent of the county is classified in extreme drought.

Conditions were unchanged from the previous week. Neither county was experiencing drought at this time last year.
