86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Underway in South Dakota

The 86th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is underway in western South Dakota.

The ten-day event began Friday and continues through Sunday, August 16th. Riders from across the country are gathering in Sturgis and the Black Hills for concerts, races, group rides, stunt shows and vendor exhibitions.

This year’s entertainment lineup includes Lainey Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Yungblud and Jamey Johnson.

South Dakota transportation officials have installed temporary traffic signals and lowered speed limits along several highways because of heavier rally traffic. Motorists are being urged to slow down, watch for motorcycles and check current road conditions before traveling.
