More ATV Violations Reported This Week

Area Conservations Officers saw more ATV violations last week.

Officer Jeremy Woinarowicz of Thief River Falls reports that “one of the ATV operators contacted was carrying her 2-month-old daughter on a chest carrier. The operator also had her 2-year-old son sitting next to her. The son was without a helmet and unrestrained.” He says enforcement action was taken for the offenses.

Woinarowicz also reports that he responded to a call of a tractor on fire in a field, and that he monitored area bear-baiting activity.

Conservation Officer Sarah Jahn of Thief River Falls reports that she continued monitoring bear-baiting activity. She says various wildlife-related complaints were taken and handled.

Meanwhile, Conservation Officer Nicholas Prachar in Baudette reports increased ATV activity in the Beltrami Island State Forest.
