Whitworth Takes It To The Gusties

Gustavus began their 107th season today at Hollingsworth Field versus Whitworth College. The Pirates took it to the Gusties, winning 40 to 7. Senior QB, Ryan Blair threw for 332 yards and 4 touchdowns, three to wide out Evan Liggett and the Pirate defense held the Gusties to just 290 total yards and pick off George Sandven 5 times and sacked him four times to pick up their first win of the season. Gustavus has a bye next week and will play UW/Stevens Point on the 21st.

Martin Luther picks up a 35 to 7 win over Lawerence University.

The Gustie volleyball team goes 1 and 1 at the Augsburg Tourney.

New Ulm Boys defeats Hutchinson 8 to 0 and the New Prague girl’s team defeats New Ulm 6 to 0.
