Vikings preparing for the Niners

(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are getting ready for Sunday’s home opener when the San Francisco 49ers come to town. The Vikes were missing a pair of top players when they took the practice field yesterday. Wide receiver Jordan Addison and edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel were both absent from practice due to injuries. Addison hurt his ankle during Minnesota’s Week One win against the Giants, and Van Ginkel is dealing with a foot injury. Starting center Garrett Bradbury was a limited participant in yesterday’s session. Niners defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos and linebacker Dee Winters did not participate in yesterday’s practice. Guard Aaron Banks, safety Talanoa Hufanga, wide receiver Jauan Jennings and running back Christian McCaffrey were all limited during the session. Sunday’s game kicks off at noon.
