RURAL ARLINGTON MAN HURT IN SIBLEY COUNTY INCIDENT

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office was called shortly after noon Thursday to an ATV crash about for miles east of New Auburn in New Auburn Township.  Authorities say 76-year-old Larry Lindemann of rural Arlington was driving an Arctic Cat ATV in the southbound County Road 13 ditch, lost control and went into a small body of water and became partially trapped underneath the ATV in the water.  Family members nearby were able to free Lindemann from the water prior to emergency personnel arriving.  Lindemann was taken to a local hospital with what are reported to be non-life threatening injuries.  He was not wearing a helmet.  The ATV sustained minimal damage.  The state patrol, Allina ambulance and New Auburn Fire Department assisted at the scene.
