Twins end season being swept by Orioles

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins wrapped up the regular season in disappointing fashion yesterday, losing to Baltimore 6-2 at Target Field. The loss capped off a terrible six-week stretch to close the year. Minnesota only won 12 of its final 39 games to fall out of playoff contention, ending with an 82-80 record. Carlos Santana accounted for the two runs with a home run. Bailey Ober took the loss for Minnesota to fall to 12-9 on the year. The Orioles finished the regular season with a 91-71 record and will start the playoffs tomorrow against Kansas City. Meanwhile, Twins owner Jim Pohlad gave a vote of confidence to chief baseball officer Derek Falvey and to manager Rocco Baldelli, proclaiming both would be back for the 2025 season.
