Arrest in Assault / Stabbing Incident in Cokato Township

A Cokato man was arrested after a man had been stabbed in the neck in Wright County Tuesday night at a residence north of Cokato.

At just after 9pm, deputies were dispatched to 2717 Nevens AV SW in Cokato Township for a reported assault.

Deputies learned the victim had been stabbed in the neck by another household member. The victim suffered a serious wound was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital.

Deputies gathered witness statements as well as evidence from the scene that led them to identify the suspect at 24-year-old Julian Hill. He was arrested and booked into the Wright County Jail for 2nd Degree Assault. Authorities also discovered he was also in violation of a previous court order for protection.

Formal charges on the assault are pending.
