RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW ULM COMMUNITY COLLAGE

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this (Thursday) morning to officially present the New Ulm Community Collage on the side of the Thimble Box building on the corner of Center and Minnesota Streets.  Tamara Furth of the Downtown Action Team says the idea stemmed from a visit she had to the Carnegie Art Center looking a collage.  Furth said while she was there, photographer Josh Madson was also there.  The started talking and Madson got on board.  He said he was inspired during the pandemic to do a project to bring people together.  A photo shoot was held at the end of April at Sweet Haven Tonics downtown New Ulm.  Madson says 432 pictures were taken that day.
