SCSU wins Hockey opener

(Mendota Heights, MN) — The 16th-rated St. Cloud State men’s hockey team opened the season beating St. Thomas yesterday 1-0 at St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights. Huskies forward Ryan Rosborough of Mt. Brydges, Ontario scored the lone goal of the game on a tip-in during a stretch of four-on-four hockey. St. Cloud State sophomore goaltender Isak Posch of Umea, Sweden didn’t allow a goal on 34 Tommies’ shots. St. Cloud State will have a home-and-home series against Bemidji State this weekend, while St. Thomas will host Vermont for a two-game set starting on Friday.
