Lynx open up WNBA Finals tonight, Wolves move a game for them
(Brooklyn, NY) — The Minnesota Lynx will try to set a new record for most W-N-B-A titles when they begin the Finals against the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center tonight in Brooklyn. The Lynx are coming off a 3-2 series win against the Connecticut Sun. Minnesota won two of three against New York during the regular season, plus the Commissioner’s Cup Championship game. Minnesota is tied with Seattle and the defunct Houston Comets for most W-N-B-A championships with four. Game One of the best-of-five series tips off at 7 P-M this evening.
(Minneapolis, MN) — To make way for a possible W-N-B-A Finals Game Four at the Target Center next Friday, the Minnesota Timberwolves have shifted their scheduled N-B-A preseason game against Denver to the day before. The Wolves and Nuggets will now face each other on Thursday, October 17th at the Target Center at 7 P-M. Minnesota will face the 76ers tomorrow night in an exhibition game at the Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 7 P-M.
