College FB/VB Results From Saturday

College athletics dominate the local schedule to day:

College Football:

On KNUJ, the Gusties traveled to St Paul to take on the Scots of Macalester. Gustavus scored 29 unanswered points to come away with a 36 to 7 win over the Scots. Jacob Ginskey threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, Caden Kleinschimdt caught 7 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Carson Dekam had 2 ints, William Hawkins had the third pick and then lateraled to Eric Lyons Jr, who scampered 50yards for the final touchdown. Gustavus is now 4 and 2, Macalester falls to 0-6. St John’s defeats Carelton 48 to 7, Bethel pounds Augsburg 73 to 8, Concordia defeats Hamline 41 to 7, St Olaf survives a scare from St Scholastica, coming from behind to win 36 to 33. UMAC final-Greenville edges Martin Luther 42 to 35.

 

College Volleyball:

Gustavus hosted a triangular today, Gustavus picks up a pair of straight wins over UW/River Falls and Luther.  Martin Luther travels to St Olaf for a 6pm first serve.
