Lynx come up short in OT, NY wins title
(Brooklyn, NY) — The New York Liberty are W-N-B-A champions. They beat the Minnesota Lynx 67-62 in Sunday’s deciding Game Five. The title is New York’s first in team history. Jonquel Jones scored 17 points for New York as the Liberty grab their first title after falling short five times prior. Jones was also named the W-N-B-A Finals M-V-P. Naphessa Collier scored 22 points to lead Minnesota as the Lynx fall short of the teams quest for a fifth W-N-B-A title.
