Texas Man Injured in Train/Semi Collision
Authorities are investigating after a semi hauling gravel struck a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train Saturday in North Dakota’s Cass County.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jose Garza (36) of Penitas, Texas was behind the wheel when an eastbound Kenworth semi “failed to stop for the automatic crossing arms and struck the side of one of the intermodal railcars” northwest of Ayr just before 8:30am.
Garza was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by Page Ambulance with non-life-threatening injury.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
