Wolves drop opener, extend Gobert

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Minnesota Timberwolves opened a season filled with high hopes with a disappointing loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles last night 110-103. Minnesota fell behind by as many as 19 points in the third quarter before rallying to make it close late. Lakers center Anthony Davis poured in a game-high 36 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to pace L-A to the victory. Minnesota was led by star guard Anthony Edwards, who scored 27 points. Newcomer Julius Randle scored 16 points and registered nine rebounds. Lakers superstar LeBron James chipped in 16 points and five boards on a night where the Lakers shot just 16.7-percent from beyond the arc. Bronny James was held scoreless in three minutes of action off the bench. The duo became the first father-son tandem to play in a game in N-B-A history. The T-Wolves begin the new season 0-1 and will tomorrow night at Sacramento at 9 P-M. Tomorrow’s game will serve as the season opener for the Kings.

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Minnesota Timberwolves are locking down the four-time Defensive Player of the Year.
