More Information Released in Kandiyohi Co Shootings

Authorities have released more information in the two shootings in Kandiyohi County Tuesday, that began with shots fired in Minneapolis and ended with one dead, one injured, and the suspect taken into custody.

The suspect, a 25-year-old Minneapolis man, is in the Kandiyohi County Jail awaiting formal charges of 2nd Degree Murder.

After the suspect fired shots from a balcony at a Minneapolis apartment, he fled to Kandiyohi County and is accused of shooting 25-year-old Peter Mayerchak of Lake Lillian and fatally shooting 55-year-old Jerome Skluzacek of New London.

Mayerchak is in stable condition and expected to survive.

No one was injured in Minneapolis.
