PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
SNOW EMERGENCY INFORMATION
Streets & Avenues:
Snow removal and parking restrictions are now in effect (October 15-April 15).
No vehicles are allowed to be parked on avenues when snow has accumulated until such avenue
has been plowed to its full width.
Parking of vehicles on streets is prohibited between the hours of 8:00 A.M. until such street has
been plowed to its full width.
Any motor vehicle parked in violation may be immediately removed and impounded. The owner to
pay for towing and impounding fees.
Sidewalks:
To ensure a safe winter environment for pedestrian traffic, cooperation is needed to keep all
commercial and residential sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
According to local Ordinance 7-1-9A, sidewalks must be cleared by 11:00 A.M. of each day
following a snowfall.
A reminder that it is illegal to deposit any snow or ice from sidewalks and driveways onto the
roadway, EXCEPT in the downtown business district.
