Teen Charged in Willmar Shooting

An 18-year-old has been charged with one count of Attempted 2nd-Degree Murder related to a shooting in Willmar Sunday.

Carsten Ronald Tallman of Willmar is also facing four other charges related to weapons and drugs.

The 17-year-old victim said he was driving home and followed by another vehicle when he heard shots and then felt that he had been hit in the back.

The victim was taken to a Twin Cities Hospital and has since been released.

The criminal complaint says Tallman and the victim had an ongoing feud.

Bail for Tallman was set at $750,000 without conditions, $350,000 with conditions.

His next court appearance is scheduled for January 14.
