SOUTH DAKOTA MAN ARRESTED AFTER POLICE CHASE IN NEW ULM SATURDAY

A man from Yankton, South Dakota is in the Brown County jail after stealing a vehicle in Hanska and leading authorities on a high-speed chase through areas of New Ulm.   A report from a gas station in Hanska came in around 2:27 pm about a stolen Nissan Altima but the vehicle fled.  Authorities led a chase through the southern portion of New Ulm including a few residential areas.  The man eventually fled on foot  was located near the gravel road just off of Dacotha Drive and take into custody.  Christian Cole Bettleyoun was booked  into the Brown Couty jail around 3:42 Saturday afternoon and faces charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, no Minnesota Driver’s license and motor vehicle theft.  Bail is set at $40,000.
