MARKTPLATZ MALL FIRE

Fire crews were called to the Marktplatz Mall in downtown New Ulm this (Wednesday) morning.  Fire Chief Paul Macho

Macho says there is heavy smoke damage to the building and heavy fire damage to the northwest corner.  No cause has been determined but the fire department, New Ulm Police Department and the State Fire Marshal will be conducting an investigation.   The Courtland and Sleepy Eye Fire Departments assisted at the scene.  Chief Macho does recommend that you stay away from the mall area as crews continue to work.
