COMMUNITY FRIENDS THANKSGIVING DINNER NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

We are two weeks away from Thanksgiving and the New Ulm Community Friends is once again holding their annual Thanksgiving dinner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm.  Community Friends member Les Schultz says they really need volunteers because it takes a lot of prep work.  Volunteers are needed for a number of jobs including turkey carving the Tuesday prior, dishwashing although Schultz says dishwashing has been made easier since COVID because they use paper plates and cups. Last year, they also created a volunteer opportunity to help clean up.  Plus help the day of as well.   There are many volunteer opportunities still open and if you want to help, you can go to Sign Up Genius and look for “New Ulm Community Friends Thanksgiving Dinner” or call Les at 507-66-5466.  You can also find out information on the Community Friends’ Facebook page.
