Gopher Men Pick Win

Golden Gopher reserve forward Parker Fox of Mahtomedi came off the bench to scored 18 points to help Minnesota beat Cleveland State last night at Williams Arena 58-47. Dawson Garcia of Savage and Brennan Rigsby added 13 points apiece, while freshman Isaac Asuma (awesome-uh) of Cherry scored a career high ten points. The Gophers led by two points at halftime thanks to a 30-plus foot buzzer-beating three-pointer from Fox. Minnesota scored the game’s final eight points and forced the visiting Vikings to miss their final eight shot attempts. Cleveland State fell to 3-3 on the season. The Gopher win pushes Minnesota to 4-1 on the season. The Gophers will next host Central Michigan on Monday night at 7 P-M at The Barn.
