Loren Charles Reidinger, age 91 of Appleton, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Appleton Area Health -Hospital.
Visitation for Loren Reidinger will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Appleton, MN.
Funeral services for Loren Charles Reidinger will be at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Appleton, MN.
Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.
Loren Charles Reidinger was born September 5, 1933, the son of Charles and Blanche (Havlik) Reidinger in Appleton Township, Appleton, Minnesota, and was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Appleton. Loren grew up on a farm two and a half miles south of Appleton, attended country school through eighth grade, and graduated from Appleton High School in 1952.
April 17, 1960, Loren was married to Joann Marie Kuhnau by Reverend Dirksen at Chokio Lutheran Church. They lived on the family farm and raised their children there. Loren was born on the farm and lived on that same farm his entire life.
Loren was chosen as the Young Farmer of the Year in 1969. He was a proud member of the Appleton Elevator Board and Appleton Township Board. He loved to hunt and fish. Traveling to Alaska to fish was his best fishing trip. He also traveled with Rustad Bus on many fun trips.
Loren is survived by his wife: Joann Reidinger of Appleton, MN; children: Lori Ann Hansard of Houston, TX, Mark Jay (Amy) Reidinger of Montevideo, MN, Rebecca (Heiko) Bratsch (foreign exchange student) of Germany; eight grandchildren: Briana (John) Kelley, Erick Hansard, Collin Hansard, Morgan (Austin) Hiepler, Sawyer Reidinger, Gannon Reidinger, and Leana Bratsch; three great-grandchildren: Elisabeth Kelley, Alexander Kelley, and Stephen Kelley.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Blanche Reidinger; son: Daniel Loren Reidinger; daughter: Jane Lorene Reidinger; grandson: Hunter Hansard; brother: Harold Reidinger; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
