Wild beat Oilers

(Edmonton, Alberta) — Minnesota forward Freddy Gaudreau scored twice as the Wild beat the Oilers 5-3 on Thursday night at Rogers Place. Matt Boldy, Marcus Foligno and Marcus Johansson also scored as the Wild overcame a weird bounce to start the game to get the victory. Leon Draisaitl cleared the puck from his own end and it bounced past two guys before it bounced through the legs of Marc Andre Fleury. But the team rallied around their hall of fame netminder who made 29 saves in the win. It was also career game number 1030 for Fleury, moving him past Patrick Roy for third place on the all time games played list in the N-H-L. The Wild improve to 13-3-3 on the season and 9-1-2 on the road. They’ll finish the road trip tomorrow afternoon against the Flames. The puck drops from Calgary at 3 P-M.
