Gopher Womens BB goes to 7-0
(Minneapolis, MN) — All five Golden Gopher starters scored in double figures in yesterday’s 84-45 win over Montana at Williams Arena. Minnesota center Sophie Hart of Farmington led the way with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. Grace Gracholski and Amaya Battle added 14 points apiece, while Tori McKinney added 13 and Mallory Heier scored ten points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. The Gophers led 29-7 after the first quarter and never looked back. Minnesota continues to be without star player Maya Braun, who suffered a foot injury prior to last week’s game against Eastern Illinois. Minnesota improved to 7-0 on the season, while Montana dipped to 3-3. The Golden Gophers will play in a holiday event in New Orleans on Friday and Saturday. Minnesota plays Houston on Friday at 1:15 P-M before taking on Louisiana on Saturday at 11 A-M.
