Chris Stapleton Now Tied For Most CMA’s With This Legendary Duo

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

Before the CMAs last week, Vince Gill and Brooks & Dunn were tied for the most CMA Awards wins ever, with 18.  But now, Vince Gill has been booted from the top spot.  When Brooks & Dunn won Best Vocal Duo, it put them in first place with 19 award wins.

During the rest of the award show, Chris Stapleton went on to win 3 awards that same night and jumped into a tie for first place.  Chris and Brooks & Dunn now have the most CMA Award wins in history, with 19 each.

Brooks & Dunn have proven their staying power with decades of relevancy in the world of country music.   Chris Stapleton has proven he smashed his way into the winner’s circle and kept on cleaning house, with his first CMA win achieved only as recently as 2015.
