One Person Injured In Semi Crash

A Red Lake area man was injured in an alcohol-related accident involving a semi on Monday in Beltrami County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Vincent Gene Azure (59) was injured when attempting to cross Highway 2 in Eckles Township. The 2001 Chevy he was driving collided with an eastbound semi at mile marker 110 just after noon. 

The driver of the semi suffered no apparent injury. Both drivers were wearing seat-belts. According to the State Patrol report, Azure had been consuming alcohol prior to the crash.
