No Injuries in New Ulm House Fire

A house in New Ulm was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday evening.

At just before 6pm, the New Ulm Fire Department was called to a home in the 700 block of South Front Street.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the first and second floors of the home.

Fire Chief Paul Macho says the fire originated on the main floor with the entire structure sustaining heavy damage.

The fire department had the fire under control within 45 minutes and was on the scene for about four hours.

No one was home and no injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
