A pretty busy night on the local scene tonight:

Boy’s Basketball:

Cathedral picks up a 66 to 38 win over Sleepy Eye, day one results from Wabasso Invite-GFW 67-59 winner over MaCCray, Heron Lake/Okabena Fulda defeats Lakeview 58 to 55 and Wabasso was an 81 to 68 winner over Hancock, Madelia wins big over BLHS 86 to 37, Lesueur/Henderson defeats Howard Lake/Waverly/Winsted 73 to 37, St Clair picks up a 57 to 51 win over Martin County West and Waterville/Elysian/Morristown was a 58 to 54 winner over Nicollet

Girl’s Basketball:

MVL picks up a conference win over Maple River 51 to 49, Sibley east defeats GFW 41 to 24, St James was a 72 to 64 winner over Waterville/Elysian/Morristown, Martin County West defeats Loyola 57 to 42, GHECML/Truman picks up a conference win over Nicollet 59 to 48 , as did Cleveland over Madelia 75 to 58.

On the Wrestling mat:

Glencoe/Silver Lake/LP hosted a quad, the results Glencoe/Silver Lake/Lester Prairie 59 BOLD 13, Sibley East 49 Bold 20, St Peter 54 BOLD 9, St Peter 49 GSL/LP 21, St Peter 54 Sibley East 20 and GSL/LP 46 Sibley East 26. Maple River/USC defeats NRHEG 46 to 18 and Martin County West was a 36 to 28 winner over Maple River/USC, Marshall picks up a pair of wins at their tri- 56 to 9 over Fulda/Murray County Central and 57 to 12 over Adrian Area and in Waseca-WEM/JWP was a 45 to 28 winner over Lesueur/Henderson and a 51 to 19 winner over Waseca, Plainview/Elgin/Millville defeats WEM/JWP 50 to 18.

Boy’s Hockey:

New Ulm scores six straight goals to pull away from Marshall and picks up their second victory with a     7 to 2 win, Luverne wins 11 to 2 over Redwood Valley and Waseca shuts out Fairmont 16 to 0.

Girl’s Hockey:

Marshall’s Brooklyn Mauch had 2 goals and 3 assists leading the Tigers to an 8 to 1 win over New Ulm.
