Ice and Snow Blamed For Accident That Left Two Injured

Two people were injured in a single vehicle accident Tuesday in Polk County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Reha Dawn Sanstead, (78) of Erskine was injured when the eastbound 2002 Kia Sportage she was driving left the roadway and rolled on Highway 2 at milepost 20 in Lowell Township.

Sanstead, and a passenger, Jamie Sue Mattison, (58) of Winger were taken to Riverview Hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Both were wearing seat-belts. 

Roads were snow and iced covered at the time of the accident reported just before 1pm.
