Twins take a Pitcher in Rule 5 Draft
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding to their roster. The team selected right-handed pitcher Eiberson Castellano from the Phillies organization in the Rule Five Draft yesterday. The 23-year-old split time between High-A and Double-A last season. He was 6-and-5 with a 3.99 earned run average and 136 strikeouts in 103-and-two-thirds innings last year. Castellano must remain on Minnesota’s active roster throughout the 2025 season, or else the club has to offer him back to the Phillies.
