Crosstown matchup, Luke Merseth scores the final five points of the game, helping MVL defeat Cathedral 65 to 60, Springfield had a slow start, but took the lead by halftime and went on to defeat St Mary’s 68 to 58, Sleepy Eye defeats Wabasso 86 to 71, Cedar Mountain has a big win over BLHS 96 to 50, at the Glencoe/SL Tournament, the Panthers defeat Lester Prairie 90 to 78 and Belle Plaine was a 78 to 50 winner over Eden Valley/Watkins, Watertown/Mayer was a 67 to 39 winner over Sibley East, at the Lesueur/Henderson Tourney-Jordan defeats Central 78 to 57 and the Giants were a 77 to 68 winner over Mayer Lutheran, at the Minneota Tourney-Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Lakeview 70 to 61 and Minneota was a 76 to 44 winner over Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda, Nicollet was a 64 to 49 winner over GHECML/Truman, Hills/Beaver Creek was a 70 to 38 winner over Red Rock Central and Murray County Central defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 71 to 53.

Girl’s Basketball:

New Ulm wins a Big South road game 76 to 21 over Waseca, Redwood Valley was a 60 to 33 winner over Luverne and Marshall thumps Worthington 79 to 35, in the crosstown matchup, MVL holds off Cathedral to win 69 to 58 to remain unbeaten, St Mary’s was a big winner over Springfield 88 to 42, Sleepy Eye was a 81 to 34 winner over Wabasso, Lester Prairie defeats GFW 73 to 46, Cedar Mountain was a 73 to 40 winner over BLHS, at the Maple River Tourney-NRHEG defeats Sibley East 60 to 37, Belle Plaine defeats Maple River 59 to 41 and Waterville/Elysian/Morristown 69 to 55 over St Clair, Central wins a section game over LCWM 68 to 48, Loyola was a 65 to 53 winner over Madelia and BOLD gets a West Central win over Montevideo 67 to 54.
