Garth Brooks Lawsuit Update

A judge has denied Garth Brooks’ request to dismiss the sexual assault case against him.   Garth’s former hair and makeup artist filed the sexual assault and battery suit against him in October.  Garth filed a separate preemptive lawsuit against the female referred to as “Jane Joe” for extortion and defamation saying her accusations were “false” and would “”irreparably harm” his reputation.

Brooks then filed a motion in November requesting a dismissal of her sexual assault and battery lawsuit.  Reports indicate the request was denied on Monday, December 16th.  The denial is temporary, pending the outcome of the lawsuit Brooks filed against Roe in September.   He can still ask for it to be dismissed again at a later date after the defamation case is worked out.
