Meeker Co Crash/Driver Arrested for Suspected DUI

A driver suffered minor injuries and was arrested for DUI after a single-vehicle crash in Meeker County after his vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

The Sheriff’s Office says the 24-year-old Litchfield man was driving north on CSAH 2 south of Watkins when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree just after 11pm Wednesday (corrected).

Authorities say alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.

After being treated for his injuries, the driver was booked into the Meeker County Jail on DUI related charges.
