Montrose Man Pleads Guilty to Causing Fatal Crash

(Learfield News/Elk River, MN) — A man from Wright County is facing more than 13 years in prison for causing a crash last July in Becker that left a man dead.

Sherburne County prosecutors say 21-year-old Bradley Johnson of Montrose pleaded guilty to fleeing an officer resulting in death, receiving stolen property, and criminal vehicular operation.

Deputies were trying stop the truck reported stolen out of St. Cloud when Johnson entered Highway 10 and caused a chain reaction crash involving three vehicles.

The driver of the first car – 36-year-old Christopher Vyskocil of Becker – died in the hospital.

Johnson will be sentenced March 7th.
