Frost win in Shootout

(Newark, NJ) — The Minnesota Frost got the go-ahead shootout goal from Taylor Heise (HY-zee) and beat New York in a shootout 4-3 yesterday in Newark. The Frost jumped out to a 3-0 lead when Kendall Coyne Schofield scored twice in the first period, followed by a Heise tally in the second. New York followed with three unanswered goals to send the game to overtime. Minnesota goalie Nicole Hensley made the game-sealing stop late in the shootout to secure the victory. Minnesota is 3-1-1-and-0 on the season and is the only P-W-H-L team without a regulation loss. The Frost will host Montreal on Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center at 1 P-M.
