CHARGES FILED IN DEADLY MANKATO SHOOTING

Charges have been filed in the deadly shooting in Mankato Saturday.  The criminal complaint says 18-year-old Guenther Boone, Jr. is charged with second-degree murder – not premeditated along with two weapons charges.  Officers were called to the report of a shooting at 3:15 Saturday morning and found a man dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle.  The victim was identified Monday as 31-year-old Darious Dashon Johnson of Mankato.  Boone’s bail has been set at $1-million.  His next court appearance is scheduled for January 9.
