No Injuries In Christmas Eve Day Fire

No injuries reported in a Christmas eve day garage fire. 

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Crookston Fire Department was dispatched to Lowell Township at around 12:30pm. Officials say “The fire department was able to contain the fire to the garage, which sustained considerable damage”. There was also smoke damage to the attached house.

The fire is believed to have started in the chimney of a wood burning stove that was being used at the time to heat the garage.

There was one person present at the time of the fire who was uninjured.
