Frost win in OT

(St. Paul, MN) — Former Golden Gopher Taylor Heise of Lake City scored the game-winning goal in overtime giving the Minnesota Frost a 2-1 win over Boston in overtime last night at the Xcel Energy Center. The two teams each scored a goal in the first period and the game remained tied until Heise found the back of the net 3:20 into overtime. Minnesota’s Denisa Krizova scored a first period goal, which tied the game. Frost goalie Maddie Rooney of Minnesota-Duluth made 26 saves to earn the win. Minnesota improved to 3-3-1-and-2 on the season, while the visiting Fleet fell to 2-1-2-and-4. The Frost are next in action on Sunday when they take on Montreal at 2 P-M in Denver.
