Inmate Cause Of Death Revealed
Authorities say that an inmate found dead at the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston died by suicide.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office the final autopsy results show that 51 year old Matthew Bagley’s cause of death was suicide by hanging.
Crookston Area Ambulance responded at 9am, February 14th, on a report of an unresponsive male inmate. The inmate was transferred to Riverview ER and was later pronounced dead at the Hospital.
Matthew, who was from Lebanon, Tennessee, was in custody for a DWI out of Norman County.
An internal investigation is being conducted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
