Wild hold on to beat Kraken

(Seattle, WA) — The Wild jumped out to a big lead then held on for a 4-3 win over the Kraken. The line of Freddy Gaudreau, Mats Zuccarello and Marcus Johansson combined for two goals and six points in the victory. Zuccarello’s goal put Minnesota ul 4-1 in the second but the Kraken responded with two straight before the period could end. Filip Gustavsson got the win on 33 saves and held the fort in the third period when his team was outshot 11-1. The Wild have now won two straight as they improve to 36-22-4. Their 76 points keeps them in third place in the Central Division and just as importantly, 11 points in front of the ninth place Canucks. That who the Wild face on Friday night when they travel to Vancouver for a 9 P-M puck drop.
