Wolves run win streak to 5
(Minneapolis, MN) — On the strength of a stellar offensive outing, the Minnesota Timberwolves stretched their winning streak to five games with a wire-to-wire 141-124 victory over the shorthanded and slumping San Antonio Spurs. A balanced offensive attack saw eight players tally double-figures, as the Wolves shot nearly 56 percent from the field, including 21-of-42 from deep, outscoring the Spurs by 30 from the 3-point line and registering a season-high tying 38 assists on their 53 makes. The 141 points are a new season-best, and the fifth consecutive win matches their longest streak of the season. The T-Wolves are now 37-29 on the season and are off until they travel to Denver to face the Nuggets on Wednesday night at 9 P-M.
