Willmar Woman sentenced in rape case

A Willmar woman has been sentenced to a year in jail for assisting in a rape that happened in 2022. Twenty-two-year-old Kelsey Jones was sentenced to 360 days in the Renville County Jail for helping a man rape a teenager in Danube in July of 2022. Jones will serve her jail sentence in 4 separate segments over the next four years. She was also placed on 10 years probation.  Jones earlier pleaded guilty to Aiding and Abetting First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for holding down the 13-year-old girl while 24-year-old Jordan Freitag of Hutchinson raped her.  Frietag has also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced at a later date.
