Avian Influenza Confirmed in Meeker Co Turkey Flock
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) has been confirmed in a commercial turkey flock in Meeker County.
The Department of Agriculture confirmed the outbreak last week.
The flock included over 70,000 turkeys.
It’s the first outbreak of avian flu in a commercial poultry flock this year, although there have been other instances of the same variant in Minnesota, including three backyard poultry flocks and one goat herd .
