McLeod Co Jury Finds St. Paul Man Guilty of Burglary/Theft
GLENCOE, MN—After two days of testimony, a McLeod County jury found 42-year-old found Ali Dayib Warsame of St. Paul guilty of one count of Burglary in the First Degree, one count of Burglary in the Second Degree, and one count of Theft.
In a press release, County Attorney Ryan Hansch announced the jury returned the guilty verdicts on April 12.
On December 19, 2023, a rural McLeod County resident returned home to find Warsame inside her house as she entered the attached garage. The resident was able to return to her vehicle and exit the garage. She then drove to a neighboring residence and called 911. Authorities located Warsame walking up to a nearby road and he was arrested. Deputies located a ring Warsame had stolen from the residence in his possession.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 24.
