STABBING IN ST. JAMES
St. James police are investigating after a man was stabbed several times Tuesday night. The man came in to the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office dispatch lobby at 10:33 pm. An officer noticed several stab wounds and started first aid. The victim was able to provide the officer with the name of the man who stabbed him. Officers executed search warrants at two St. James homes and arrested 23-year-old Antonio Trevino of St. James. He is being held at the Watonwan County jail on charges of 2nd-degree assault. The victim was taken by ambulance to the Mayo-St. James Hospital and was later airlifted to Rochester. Madelia police, the St. James Ambulance Service and the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office all assisted the St. James police department.
